In response to your feedback, we’re intensifying our focus on salsa—the beloved music and dance—while dialing down the emphasis on bachata. This shift allows us to craft a more expansive dance floor tailored for salsa enthusiasts.

Instead of having Bachata in the second big room, we’re opening it as a Salsa Romantica floor, providing nearly twice as much dancing space for salseros. If you love the music of Marc Anthony, Victor Manuel, and Los Adolescentes, this will be the place to be for you! Bachata lovers fear not! There will still be a bachata area during the parties, although it will be in a smaller room. We’ll also reduce the number of bachata workshops and use all the big rooms for Salsa workshops, increasing the dance area during the workshops.

International Showcases

The International Showcase on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will start between 22:30 and 23:00 and feature a selection of amazing dance shows by our artists. Make sure to come in early to secure your spot. A limited number of seats will be available during the showcase, reserved for Premium Full Pass holders.
During the shows, a second room will be open for social dancing!

Stargate Competition

Join us for the Stargate competition at the Amsterdam International Salsa Festival, where you can showcase your dance skills by day. Victorious participants will have the prestigious opportunity to perform alongside our renowned international artists in the evening.We offer three competition categories, scheduled across different days:

Friday: Couples & Groups
Saturday: Groups only (FULL)
Sunday: Solo

The entry fee is €110 per participant. This includes a Full Pass, granting access to all festival events. Step up and shine!

Performance Boot Camps

Performance Bootcamp with Fernando Sosa & Marco Ferrigno.

Eight hours (total) of intensive training on Thursday, Friday and Saturday

Locations

Primary Location: De Koning.
Isolatorweg 29, 1014 AS Amsterdam.

As usual, the AISF will be held at the majestic De Koning Event Center, conveniently between the Amsterdam International Airport Schiphol and Amsterdam Central Station. This venue is one of the most beautiful locations and is ideally suited for the Festival. It has five unique rooms, so there is plenty of room to dance on over the weekend.

Secondary Location: Candance Studios.
Isolatorweg 28, 1014 AS Amsterdam.
Candance Studios is just across the street from De Koning. This venue has three dance studios, which we use for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday workshops.

How to get there

De Koning is easy to reach with public transportation. Take the train to Amsterdam CS from the airport and leave at Sloterdijk Station. From Sloterdijk, take the Metro to Isolatorweg, which is one stop.

Parking

Parking is Free at the main venue over the weekend after Friday at 19:00 until Monday morning.

Main Hotel: Meininger Hotel.

Orlyplein 1-67, 1043 DR Amsterdam, convinietly located at Sloterdijk Station, one stop with the metro from the venue.
